steam offers it, the game needs to utilize it or get the issue fixed.
I have a few games that when i built another machine and installed steam and my games steam cloud downloaded my last known saves and i was at the same point where i was, when i went back to my other PC it re-synced the save at that end and i was always up to date in my games no progress lost.Įveryone is always banging on about Cloud storage these days. want to boot the game have a quick few laps, turn it off and go shopping not back up manually and add another chore to the day. expecting that people had manually backed up the save games is a bit OTT. Well to me the biggest loss is losing my single player progress, imagine if you wanted to complete the career mode, invested 50+ hours on it and then lost everything, thats a loss, settings you can always re-set it, so this needs to be fixed asap, as I cant play single player career now coz i'll just lose everything again.ĭoesn't this game feature the steam cloud saving function :s At the very least it is a good idea to backup once you get your buttons mapped and other settings the way you want them so that if something happens to the save you can quickly recover them.Īlso note that while this is a bug that deletes the save under some condition(s) there are other ways a save can be lost through no fault of the game in question and it can happen to any and all games so if not loosing the save is important to you a backup is key, most times you will never need to restore from backup but when you do you will be glad you had it. The biggest issue with loosing your save is that you also loose your settings and any tunes you may have created. Loosing a save only effects stats and progression in career which is not that big a deal. In PCars it is not as big a deal as other games since there is no credit system and you don't buy cars and such. Some games will create a backup each time the game starts and when there is a problem they will try to auto restore the backup but many do not do this. Maybe not but it is always a good idea to make backups it is a general rule in the world of computing that sadly most people do not follow. My father told me that maybe it "melted".I have literally never had to keep manually backing up game saves with ANY game I've ever played so why should Pcars be any different? No one will automatically know that they need to do that.
My room is a bit stuffy, it can reach like 23 degrees or even more. ATLEAST 1 SAVE FILE!īy the way, I live on a place which the weather is either hot or cold. help me? And please, don't send me ridiculous comments like: "Send it to Sony", "You're screwed" or anything like it. I had to remade my main character because of a Corrupted Save File and stuff. (It's a RPG game that I really enjoy to play. I hate the thought of never being able to play my favorite games ever again and to loose all the effort I've put on several games like. I need something to keep me busy and relaxed. tell me! I'm desesperate! School just started. It can, atleast make my PS3 work for some time and allow me to put my save files on my PSP.
a PSP is a good trick to place PS3 Save Files and I would like to do that.
I can't just replay them all over and over. I'm gonna buy a Second.Hand "Slim" 500GB PS3 for 200€, but it's no use for me if I have to repeat all of my games again from scratch. 1 year of hard gaming is now lost and I CANNOT, I reapeat, I CANNOT send it to Sony to be repaired as I live on Portugal. if its overheating, I guess that a WEEK is enough to refresh itself, right? It still doesn't work. like a year and last week it got the Yellow Light of Death, a light that appears when the System of the PS3 crashes, melts or overheats. So, I bought a Second-Hand "Fat" 200GB PS3 that was rarely used by its previous owner.
